Misti Rainwater-Lites, NEXT EXIT: TEN … available NOW!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — kendrasteinereditions @ 10:33 am

NEXT EXIT: TEN (KSE #116), the final installment in this two-year series of ten chapbooks, is a solo entry from Misti Rainwater-Lites, and it’s now available for order. She’s not just in Texas this time around, and the poems have the scalding wit, the perfectly-chosen details, the great flow, and the righteous anger one expects from Ms. Rainwater-Lites.

Just for the record, here is the complete list of NEXT EXIT chapbooks.

Still available:

NEXT EXIT: NINE,  MK CHAVEZ & JOHN SWEET

NEXT EXIT: SEVEN,  RONALD BAATZ & LUIS CUAUHTEMOC BERRIOZABAL

Out of Print:

NEXT EXIT: EIGHT,  HOSHO McCREESH & CALEB PUCKETT

NEXT EXIT: SIX,  K. M. DERSLEY & ADRIAN MANNING

NEXT EXIT: FIVE,  CHRISTOPHER CUNNINGHAM

NEXT EXIT: FOUR,  ZACHARY C. BUSH & BRAD KOHLER (note: a limited reprint of this one is now available as part of the ZCB  Poetry Action-Pack…see recent post on that subject)

NEXT EXIT: THREE,  DOUG DRAIME & MISTI RAINWATER-LITES

NEXT EXIT: TWO, THOMAS MICHAEL McDADE & BILL SHUTE

NEXT EXIT: ONE, DOUG DRAIME & BILL SHUTE

Thanks to everyone who participated in this project, everyone who wrote favorably about it, and especially everyone who purchased these chapbooks! Misti’s new Next Exit: Ten finishes the series, as the new SHANTI chapbook finishes the Creel Pone Sound Study Series, which was also in ten volumes. The Sound Library Series, presently up to 37 volumes, is an ongoing series that won’t be ending anytime soon.

I started another “series” a year or so back, the Cinema Poetry series, but only did one volume of that, a tribute to Barry Mahon’s ROCKET ATTACK USA. I had a few others sketched out—-the San Antonio-made z-grade western CACTUS BARRIER, the 1960’s Spanish-made drugsploitation classic HALLUCINATION GENERATION starring George Montgomery, D. W. Griffith’s THE STRUGGLE, and others. ROCKET ATTACK USA was quite well-received, even getting a mention at the KENYON REVIEW blog! , so maybe I’ll return to that series someday. Or maybe not… we’ll see.

Misti’s NEXT EXIT: TEN. You know you want it!
