Coming in December, KSE’s second CDR release:
ALFRED 23 HARTH
“micro-saxo-phone, edition III” (KSE #175)
The vocabulary of the solo saxophone “extended” through electronics…an important release from the always-innovative German free-jazz master, living and working in Korea since 2001. For four decades, Mr. Harth has been one of the most forward-thinking musicians on the international scene—-the list of great artists he’s collaborated with is too long to list here—-he’s a virtuoso on a number of reed instruments, and he was an early champion of multi-media and multi-cultural work. This release is a follow-up to the amazing MICRO-SAXO-PHONE, EDITION II that Mr. Harth issued in 2009. MICRO-SAXO-PHONE, EDITION III, is being recorded especially for Kendra Steiner Editions by A23H, and we are honored to be presenting his work. Should be available in December 2010—-keep checking the KSE blog for further updates.
