new entries in KSE’s “sound library series” for 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — kendrasteinereditions @ 1:22 pm

KSE’s “Sound Library Series” of poetry chapbooks marches on past sixty entries here in 2011.

Vol. 58,  BUTTERFLY MIND (KSE #173)

and Vol. 59 AUTUMN (KSE #180) are now available.

These are fine pieces, if I don’t say so myself, and you should pick them up while you can. BUTTERFLY is inspired by the incredible ARCESIA album, and AUTUMN is inspired by one of Bunny Berigan’s final recordings, for the tiny Elite label, a cover of that old chestnut, ” ‘Tis Autumn.”

However, there are five more completed volumes that will be released throughout 2011, and I want to alert you to those:

Vol. 60, Surrounded By The Moment

Vol. 61, Separated From The Sparrows

Vol. 62, Raga: That Which Colors The Mind

Vol. 63, Digression: Lines for Lennie Tristano

Vol. 64, Florentine Dictations

In addition, in the Fall we’ll be issuing a chapbook from Pittsburgh’s JIM  D.  DEUCHARS that’s inspired by the music of Thelonious Monk and will be part of the Sound Library Series, but that’s not yet titled or slotted into the release schedule.

Stay tuned to KSE throughout 2011…
