Happy to announce that after the excellent reception of my first spoken-word poetry cdr, SAN ANTONIO SKY SONGS (KSE #171), and requests that I do an album of more recent material (that album contained 2006-2009 poems), I’m going back into the studio in Austin in late July 2011 and recording a new collection entitled JUNK SCULPTURE FROM THE NEW GILDED AGE (KSE #202), which will consist of 2010-2011 material, including some pieces that have not yet been published. Derek Rogers, who did such a fine job on the first one and who really understands the form and texture of my poems, has agreed to again engineer/produce. We expect to have this ready to release in August 2011. It will be available from KSE in North America and from Volcanic Tongue in Europe.
Hope you’ll find it interesting and worthwhile.
ATTENTION: People in New York and New England, don’t forget that I’ll be doing three readings and/or poetry-music collaborations in Albany, NY, and Western Massachusetts in late May 2011…stay tuned to the blog for further details.
