Back now from two satisfying weeks in Florida/Mississippi/Alabama/Louisiana on the beautiful Gulf Coast. I have been so busy releasing other people’s music and poetry this year, and also promoting the poetry and sound sculpture album I did with Fossils, that I have not yet issued any of my own poetry chapbooks in 2015, and the year’s almost half over! LINES AND FINES was composed in late 2014/early 2015 and features an original cover artwork by acclaimed Austin-based psychedelic artist Justin Jackley (visit Justin and view a sampling of his work at www.justinjackley.com). If you are unfamiliar with my work, this is as good an entry point as any…think SOILED MOSAIC.
On a low-grade potpourri high, interrupted by fracking earthquakes, high-stepping around the lines and fines….tuning out the music of history and the squirrels knocking about in the walls…..loaded pistols, loaded dice, loaded questions, tainted rice…..
Edition of 51 home-made, hand-cut and hand-assembled copies on heavy metallic cover stock with text printed on classy flecked birch art-paper. Grab a copy ASAP….this work will never again be available in this format, its original and intended format.
And while ordering Lines and Fines, why not also pick up our previous poetry chapbook, the third and final installment in Jim D. Deuchars‘ amazing Pittsburgh trilogy, “Ohio Connecting Railroad Bridge” (KSE #301)….same price, $6 US / $7 elsewhere, postpaid.
We’ll be back with the new GARMENT DISTRICT album LUMINOUS TOXIN (KSE #296) in a mid-June….
