excerpts from Jim Armstrong’s 1976 LP “Feels Like Spiders” (Tiger Lily Records)

Only 2 copies of Jim Armstrong’s 1976 LP “Feels Like Spiders” on the tax scam label TIGER LILY are known to be in circulation, and 8 minutes of excerpts from the album are on YOU TUBE, the only available material (presently—-I hope that those reading this in the future will be able to buy an authorized reissue on some boutique label) from this interesting work. Enjoy.

    • That’s a good question. I would say no, since that Jim Armstrong (Them) is Irish and returned to Northern Ireland in the 70’s, while this Jim Armstrong, according to the article about Tiger Lily Records on the Dangerous Minds website, is someone from New York State who’d been based in Rochester and he continued to be USA-based in the later decades.

  2. Thanks. And somehow a guy from Pearl Jam ended up with his guitar.

  3. Jim (James Francis) Armstrong, singer songwriter, keyboards, bandleader/manager led the upstate NY show band “Us & Company” in the mid to late ‘60s. Having released Rochester NY’s premier boogie band Rain’s “Live Christmas Night” album in 1970, he went on to release his self penned and performed album “Feels Like Spiders” on Morris Levy’s Tiger Lilly label. He continued his music career into the ‘70s booking tours for prominent regional and national acts.
